Wrong book cover or broken Amazon link?

Use the Report an Issue or Broken Link button in the app's Settings tab. You can describe the problem and optionally attach a screenshot. We review all reports and fix issues quickly.

Are you an indie author?

We love supporting independent authors! Tap Submit a Book in the Settings tab to send us your book details for review. No follower count or ad budget needed — just a great book and a great blurb.

How do sessions work?

New users get 10 free sessions to explore the library. After that, you receive one free session every 24 hours. Upgrade to Blind Date Premium (one-time purchase, no subscription) for unlimited sessions and the full library.

How do I reveal a book?

Swipe right on a book card to match with it. Once matched, go to the Matches tab, tap the match, and the cover and author are revealed. You'll then see a link to view it on Amazon.

Your privacy matters. Blind Date with a Book is designed to work almost entirely on your device. We do not create accounts, track your identity, or sell your data — ever.

In-App Purchases

Blind Date with a Book offers a one-time lifetime premium purchase. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple and verified through RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment information. RevenueCat may collect anonymised, non-personal transaction data to verify entitlements. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Author Submissions

If you submit a book through the "Submit a Book" feature, your submission is sent via Formspree (a secure form service) directly to our team. We receive only what you choose to include — book title, author, genre, description, and contact details. This information is used solely to evaluate your book for inclusion in the library. We do not add you to any mailing list.

Reporting an Issue

If you use the "Report an Issue or Broken Link" feature, your report is sent via your device's native email app. You may optionally attach a screenshot — photo library access is requested only at the moment you choose to attach a photo and is not used for any other purpose.

Third-Party Services

The app links to Amazon product pages. When you tap "View on Amazon," you leave our app and Amazon's own privacy policy applies. We do not receive any information about your Amazon activity.

Book cover images are sourced from Open Library (openlibrary.org), an open-access project of the Internet Archive. No personal data is shared in this process.

Children's Privacy

Blind Date with a Book is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Data Retention

All app data is stored locally on your device and is under your full control at all times. Author submission data is retained only as long as needed to evaluate the submission.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
